When is the Festival?

Dates for 2025 are July 26th & 27th and runs from 10am to approximately 5:00pm

The event is free and no tickets are required.

Well behaved dogs are welcome

Where is the Festival?

The kite festival is located on Southsea Common, Portsmouth. Follow the signs for the seafront.

Please note Portsmouth currently has a Clean Air Zone Class B covering parts of the City.  Class B covers buses, coaches, taxis, private hire vehicles and HGVs  Euro 6 or Euro 4.  You can check at https://www.gov.uk/clean-air-zones to see if you need to pay a charge

How to get here?

The nearest railway station is Portsmouth Harbour and the area is serviced by a number of local buses. Portsmouth also has a Park and Ride service (PR3) which  goes past Southsea Common and over the kite festival weekend will run every 10 minutes. Public car parking is available on roads around the common and, usually during the event on the common (normal fees apply).

Finally, there is a ferry that transports people (and bicycles/ motorbikes) across Portsmouth Harbour from Gosport to Portsmouth Hard Interchange. The crossing takes just over 4 minutes, with a sailing every 15 minutes from 05.30am until midnight each day. gosportferry.co.uk
